Methodology
An explainable score, not a black box.
Every risk score is a weighted, deterministic blend of signals you can trace. The goal is not a mysterious number — it's a transparent advisory your team can question and trust.
How the AOG risk score is composed
A conceptual blend of weighted factors. Weights illustrate relative emphasis and are tuned per dataset — they are not a precision guarantee.
25% — Historical AOG frequency for the part
20% — Serviceable-stock absence at the relevant station
15% — Recent related write-ups on the aircraft
15% — Supplier lead-time risk
10% — Upcoming maintenance demand
10% — Supplier unreliability
5% — Certification / document risk

What the score is — and isn't
It is
- A risk advisory
- Decision-support
- An explainable, ranked signal
- A starting point for human review
It is not
- An airworthiness determination
- A compliance certification
- An approval to install a part
- A replacement for human review
AOG Shield is a decision-support and risk-advisory system. It does not determine airworthiness, approve parts for installation, certify regulatory compliance, or replace human maintenance, quality, or planning review.
